Abstract Thursday...Texture

Is it a piece of cake, or a piece of wood? It is actually wood but it does appear to me to look like cake!...thanks Ingeborg.
The heat has followed me from Spain,  currently 28C phew. It's been a day of sorting out, a quick shop and a catch-up with G across the road.  B moved to Hampshire last week and we've been in touch, but it's just G and me here now :(
I also got in touch with my mobile phone provider, who, after various  security checks, is able to send me a new sim card with my original number on it. It seems much easier than I expected, I really hope it does retrieve all my records and get me back to normal.
