Abstract Thursday - Texture

I have always loved the texture of this mohair blanket of gorgeous pale blue with a darker blue and pale purple check. On very cold winter nights I wrap it around me to keep cosy.

The blanket was a gift in 1972 from an American family whose two young daughters I had helped to look after while on holiday in Quimper, France.

The label sewn into the blanket says "Created in Scotland for The Scotch House of Knightsbridge, S.W.1, Glen Cree, by Cree Mills Ltd. All Mohair"
