Torrent de Celse Nière
Holiday time. We’re in the Ecrins for some walking. Today’s first outing saw us climb to the snow line at 2100m on the south side of this valley. The Bosse de Clapouse is a rocky bluff at the end of a hanging valley. We rested in the shade watching Chamois and Marmottes cooling themselves on old winter snow fields.
On return to the road we found temperatures had reached 33C. Afternoon siestas all round.
