"It's not fair."

What a wonderful end to what has been a very enjoyable year. I have really enjoyed teaching this class. Next year's class look to be somewhat more of a challenge, but I'm sure I'll manage. Anyway, a half day party with water fights on the playground, board games and ice lollies in the classroom and a game of Four Corners in the hall. Epic!
I got everything done that I needed to do at school very quickly in the afternoon so that I was able to leave school at 15:45. I went to Starbucks in Kitano for a caramel latte as I enjoyed reading Perdidio Street Station, before heading off to the Kitano Club Sora for the Year Six graduation party. How splendid that was! Delicious buffet food with all-you-can-drink orange juice, wonderful company, moving speeches by teachers and staff either in the venue or via video recording and, as you can see in the photo, some lovely gifts. I had no idea that I was going to be asked to make a speech but I was pleased to have the opportunity to tell the graduates how much I respect and admire them, and how privileged I feel to have had the opportunity to teach them. I was honestly able to tell them that they are my favourite Year Four class.
How did I get to be so lucky? You're right, Chin-san; it's not fair.
