To the Dendy for an afternoon session of Dangerous Animals, a new Australian gorefest set and filmed on the Gold Coast. It featured the usual laconic but vaguely menacing older male, young backpackers, an itinerant woman surfer and shark feeding. A horror film that also manages to be pro-shark, up to a point.

Sticking to the tropical theme, I returned from Fiji with a couple of unwanted souvenirs, declared at customs but unfortunately not confiscated.
