Water spirits

DDW's August Challenge Day 18 : Where in the World...

This is the top end of a walking stick which is carved with various symbols representing water spirits. Its an intricate piece of carving, with parts which are deliberately carved to be loose and rattly. Its a nice thing but where in the world is it from
