Freshly picked

I got a haircut this morning and so far, so good. I badly needed one. I did some cleaning in the house then worked for a couple of hours in the garden, weeding and deadheading. It's been very windy, and I thought for sure that the power would go out. Hopefully it won't before I get supper on the table!
Not very inspired today to find a photo to blip, so broccolini it is. I picked it to go with mashed potatoes and salmon patties for supper. It's growing very well. I also picked a good variety of salad greens for our nightly salad. What a privilege to have space to grow some of our own food!
