Foxglove on Wire

Early awake so I went out to replace the trail cam to hopefully capture more of the deer in the area. I have a pretty good idea of the main tracks they now use crossing fields and moving through the wooded copses that are a feature of the landscape. It was as I was walking along the edge of one of the fields that I saw this foxglove against the wire fence.

In fact I thought it was going to be the only photo I would take this morning as the deer were unusually illusive. It may be because the farmer had cut the hay in the field and spread it out to dry in the warm sunshine and they had relocated following the disturbance.

It was as I walked through an area the locals call the secret valley that I came across 5 deer, including a calf. It was the first time I was able to take a photo of just the calf, as the hind had moved off. I managed a couple of images (see extra) before they came together and trotted off into the trees on the edge of the field.

Getting home I was weeding the block pavers and re-sanding a small area. I want to test the effectiveness of the sand, which has weed retardant properties. I hope it works as it is a thankless task trying to weed the large expanse of driveway.
