Not an early bird

A very observant one. I was enjoying  cup of tea in the garden when the Robin swooped down only a few feet away from me and immediately started to pull a long earthworm from the grass. It took him a long time to demolish,  eventually saved a bit for later and flew off with a small amount dangling. I had cause to think of his technique an hour or so later when I tackled a plate of spaghetti carbonara.
