Ovipositing

Another lovely wander in the sunshine!

Noticed this moth ..... a Scalloped Oak ..... another new one to me.

When I looked at the photo later I realised it was a female & she was ovipositing. :-)

Apologies for the poor photo as it is heavily cropped & wasn't easy to get.
