Tufted ducklings
Was at the Assembly Rooms all morning, for the Scotland 2050 conference : topic - what will the next 25 years look like in Scotland and what needs to be done to improve from where we are. The BBC summary puts more emphasis on business than there was in the morning sessions. There was too much assumption that changes could only be incremental, and no opportunity for radical re-thinking.
Afternoon walk to Inverleith; there are new tufted ducklings on the pond. One brood of eight was scooting around at the west end, watched over by the resident heron. Back by the Rocheid path, where there was another heron fishing in the river.
Warm and humid, partly sunny.
