Drove down to CK. Mum had breakfast, I walked Indie.
Whizzed around this morning so that Mum & I could drive into Newton Abbot. Stopped for a coffee alfresco. We both enjoyed the people watching..
Bought a blingy fuchsia pink phone case, plus had a screen saver put on.
Had a mooch about then popped into Boots opticians to have a word. I've had my new glasses 2 weeks now, they're not comfortable. Make me feel swimmy when I'm walking, & not perfect when driving either. Reactalite varifocals. The assistant bent the frame slightly to see if there was any improvement. They feel better but I have another eye test booked for next Monday.
Bought a lovely fresh mixed salad for Mum to have with her cold chicken & oven chips. She chose a raspberry cream donut for her pud.
Mum fed, Indie fed, plant tubs watered, I headed home.
Made lunch for hubby & myself then got stuck into to the pile of admin. Rang Barclays to talk me through setting up a new ISA for Mum. Went through all the rigmarole, then she tells me it can't be set up on-line as I have LPA so need to visit a branch. This is the second phonecall to Barclays.. My first was to arrange a face to face apt in their NA hub, but told they could talk me through the process on-line. I'm tempted to change banks.. It's so frustrating!
Hubby had cold roast chicken, oven chips & salad, I had B n' S with cold chicken. He would rather have had mine... Too bad!!!
