Tuesday: New Plants on a Rainy Day
Dry start to the day but by lunchtime the rain arrived, the howling gale we had during the morning died down to a gentle breeze.
My appointment was cancelled this morning, which was actually very lucky as I seem to have a very nasty stomach bug :-(( … but it was much better after I drank some chamomile tea :-))
Today’s Blip is of the plants I ordered yesterday from https://borderalpines.co.uk - everything was individually wrapped in paper and all look fresh and healthy, they are currently being watered gently by the rain and I’m looking forward very much to transferring them into terracotta pots when the rain stops!
From left to right:
Anthemis sancti-johannis (St. John’s chamomile)
Angelica sylvestris “Ebony”
Agapanthus Starlight
Aruncus aethusifolis
Allium sikkimense
Whilst I was unpacking my plants, MrD drove to Bangor to get his new spectacles coming back down the A5 to call at the auction rooms then on to visit his brother.
Watched a few episodes of “Monarch of the Glen” Series 3.
Loads of love and hugs to all my family / Cariad Mawr
