Auld Selkirk
The town has been kitted out in true blue and scarlet, and everyone's saying "safe oot, safe in" ... it must be Common Riding!
Baby and I watched the horses come back into town after they had ridden the boundaries of the common land, led by the Royal Borough Standard Bearer and his attendants. We then all walked up to the Market Square where we watched him cast the flag, followed by the Standard Bearers for the Hammermen, Weavers, Fleshers, Colonial Society, Merchant Company, and finally the Ex-Soldiers (pictured).
