Land of Iron

We went along to Skinningrove today to visit the Land of Iron. It celebrates the history of ironstone mining in the area and encompasses all things about the broader industrial heritage of round here.

You can book tickets to go behind the scenes and down into the drift mine, but we didn’t do that today. Our camera club have an exhibition on display in one of their community rooms, so that was the main focus of the visit.

We will go back another time to see the rest of it.
