The flowers..

along the riverside are spectacular in colour and profusion, they include Lupins, Melancholy Thistle, Roses, Stitchwort, Broom, Cow Parsley, Honeysuckle and many more. There were plenty of invertebrates too, although not the ones I was specifically surveying. Families of birds were emerging, Longtailed Tits, Wrens, Goldeneye, Bullfinches and Willow Warblers . At home, there was a little dispute over the bird feeders, as the Woodpeckers vied for possession! This one escaped into the Honeysuckle protesting!
