Hidden

A day off, and a wee trip to Glasgow, before preparing for some friends visiting tomorrow.

We were headed to the Hidden Lane in Finnieston, to drop off some chairs with Bobbin and Fleck, a one-woman-band reupholsterer and restorer. Can't wait to see the results.

Had a wee wander round an antiques store tucked away in here, and this excellent salvage yard - where I picked up three volumes of Punch collections from the 1850s and 60s (mainly for the illustrations, but also the social commentary of the day, some of which is definitely a difficult read with modern eyes); and had a lengthy chat with the owner about him being a cross-channel swimmer.
