The corner bed
This exuberant bed is glorious, though it isn't quite what I had in mind when planning it. We planted three small shrubs, and almost 200 summer flowering bulbs. But then W scattered seeds. And it's the products of the seed packet that dominate at the moment, completely overwhelming the little shrubs! We'll need to do some sorting in the autumn.
The gladioli are growing, and the first one to flower can be seen in the thumbnail, towards the right front in this photo.
I edged and weeded another flower bed. W mowed the daffodil area, and removed the barriers so that Husky can keep it cut for the rest of the summer. After lunch, I did a bit more weeding of the outside of the roadside ditch, removing some quite extensive brambles, along with many nettles which are now brewing into nettle tea!
