SUMMER IN THE CITY

I really like all the swirls & designs
in this entrance, which I only noticed
as I was meeting a friend for lunch.
We used to be neighbors, but she now
lives in LA. We see each other as much as
time & distance allow.

There are two wildfires that started
early this evening. The closest is now
extinguished; but, the other is still
active. Thankfully, the Santa Ana winds are not blowing, so the progress is slow.
It’s also near 2 lakes that water dropping aircraft can access.

I have the WATCH DUTY app that gives updates in real time. Hopefully, the
words “fire contained,” or “forward progress stopped” will appear before dark.
