The Eagle Has Landed

Another beautiful day with cool breezes and bright sunshine. We hung out at the boat landing looking for eagles but ended up counting sturgeon splashes. Of the six splashes seen and heard, only once did we catch the whole fish elevate out of the water. No gulls, ducks or cormorants around so we left the jumping sturgeon to drive north a few miles to Hallowell • After a diving osprey sighting we spotted an adult eagle fly into his nest. The nest isn’t new; it’s located across the river near the top of an evergreen. If you look closely you can see the adult’s face leaning in to feed babies :) • Peace & Love
