Wooden Spoons

These wooden spoons at church are a bit yuk. Need to get some new ones.
I was told though that if you boil them for 30 mins in salty water, lots of the grease and yad come away.
Not convinced these are now really sterilised but I have to say, the water changed colour - it was disgusting - and a surprising amount of sticky goo appeared in the water, equally disgusting.
Still need to get new ones.
