Red Admiral

Today's the day ....................... to select

I was able to take lots of pictures this afternoon, of this Red Admiral butterfly on the Astrantia.  It was obviously in some sort of a butterfly seventh heaven, sticking its long proboscis into the centre of the flowers and having a good long sup.  It certainly wasn't bothered by me, coming in close and snapping away.

When it came to selecting which image to blip, I was spoilt for choice.  I've put my best one of the 'usual' sort of butterfly pose in extras - but there was something about the 'in-your-face' attitude of the one above, that made me choose it for the main shot ...................!
