First Dragonfly Visit

I spotted the first dragonfly visiting my pond this afternoon. This is a broad bodied chaser and I managed to photograph it in flight. I also got a photo of a visiting speckled wood butterfly, not sure I've seen one in the garden before. This morning I had a nice catch up with my sister A and also prepared my back door for putting up my new fly screen. This afternoon I've alternated sitting reading in the garden, with watching the tennis and editing photos. I finally got a reply from the company that manufactures the venetian blinds I'm looking at. Their view is that the faux wood blinds are better at resisting warping in high heat / moisture areas like bathrooms and kitchens - so the first company was correct. I've now asked the 2nd company for a quote for the faux wood to compare.
