PUPPY ENTHUSIASM

A former student and photo protege stopped by with one of her sons and their new Golden Retriever puppy, Skye.  Like most pups, she has a two-position switch;  ON and OFF.  She goes full speed at whatever she's doing and then, just as swiftly, switch OFF and she's taking a nap.

She's getting a little rambunctious here and accidentally nipped her buddy's nose.  Those puppy milk teeth are sharp and when you're young you haven't yet learned how to deal with them.  Fortunately, I'm an expert having had pups all my life.  So we had a quick lesson.  Skye needs to learn not to jump into people's faces...or anywhere else for that matter.

It's nice when former students just show up spontaneously to share what's going on in their lives.  I even had her father as a student many moons ago...and all his brothers (her uncles) as well.  She's the sweetest ever and we've become good friends through our photo work together.  She's pretty good and is doing a few weddings on her own now.  This was unthinkable only a few years ago...it takes a while to develop self-confidence.

She was among the first to visit me in the hospital after my first pacemaker install about 8 years ago.  Her hubby is her high school sweetheart and a former student as well.
