Happy Father’s Day

We ended Father’s Day at our friends Stu and Judy’s house with Marv and Joan for pizza and game night. I grabbed a silly photo of Judy, Shelly and Stu as we headed home.

During the day I spent lots of time on the phone. First Lynda called to talk about her dad and mine. We were missing both of them. Then I called Helena to share the day with her too. It’s been over eight years since Arvin passed and we all miss him.

Next I called my brother Dave to wish him a happy Father’s Day. Both his sons and their families were there visiting. So nice for them all to be together.

Then I tried a call to my first husband Tom, father to my amazing son Jason. I didn’t expect to get him as he is really hard to reach. But surprise. He picked up the phone and we talked for almost an hour. It’s been years so it was great to reconnect. Tom and I are still friends after all these years. We care about each other. Though we were ill suited as spouses we are just fine as friends and it was good talking to him. Hopefully there be such a huge gap before our next conversation.
