White roses
It was another beautiful day, and because M was here for several hours, helping J with some digital artwork, I had more opportunity than usual to enjoy it. I enjoyed breakfast, coffee and lunch (with P and chat) on the patio, moved my birthday peony into a bigger pot, and in the evening opened a bottle of pink wine (Pino Grigio blush) and enjoyed a glass outside as the light faded. This evoked some lovely memories of balmy evenings in many places, to which P later added more. Memories seem more and more special and important these days, and we are fortunate to have a lot of very good ones to look back on. This has partly been prompted by the changes in J's health and capacity to do things, including travel, and partly, I guess, because we're getting old!
Our white rose, left languishing in deep shade and undergrowth by the previous owner, is now flourishing in a new location. I photographed it after hanging up the laundry, a task which often encourages me to pause and notice.
