Sally Mair - Loving life

How does your garden grow....

It's taking off very nicely thank you!
Church today and as I was on duty I was there early. The wrong hymn number was put on the hymn board today and as it was the two hymn version of St Patrick's Breastplate it caused no end of confusion. Not helped by the cantor singing one of the verses which should have been missed out and the Curate trying to look very reverential while I could see he had the giggles! I held a brief session afterwards brainstorming for the characteristics we felt after important in our new Bishop. Post-it notes and coloured felt pens may have been involved.
Other than that an excellent sermon on the Trinity. Apparently the Abbot of Fountains Abbey never preached on the Trinity because it was just too complicated!
Katy came over to see Colin this afternoon which was nice, Ali and he communicated even though she didn't make it over.
Other than that I think the highpoint of his day was getting a slot at the tip and offloading a bootload of rubbish.
I on the other hand provided a very tasty fillet steak with a Diane sauce for dinner, so my brownie points are high at the moment.
The weather today was better than yesterday and fairly warm again.
My blip is of the produce corner of the garden, the blackcurrants are ripening very quickly, I'll need to try to beat the pigeons to the harvest, the blue berries in their Ghost outfit are doing well too. The raspberries which I had thought were months away are suddenly catching up with everything else and the strawberries, few though they are, look like they'll be ready soon.
I was pleased to see a solitary flower on the runner beans too. Things are happening.
