Cley Windmill

We went to the coast today, although we never actually saw the sea because of the extensive marshes. We started off at Cley-next-the-sea and had a nearly circular walk around the windmill. It was actually a there-and-back walk due to the large sluice gate across the channel!

We bought lunch, had a quick look in the village hall where there was a pop-up gallery, and then drove a couple of miles west to Blakeney where we walked out onto the marsh. I've added an extra of the masts in the dinghy area.

Finally we went to Stiffkey with similar marshy areas although it was low tide so most of the creeks were just mud.

And then we headed back to the cottage for a cuppa and dinner.
