Wedding Day

Our lovely local music teacher and her partner celebrated their big day in some style.   A very full trainload of guests witnessed the ceremony at Abergynolwyn where I was helping out for a half day and found time to grab a few snaps before heading back to Tywyn where the Tuesday singers, Tra Mor Social Singers, were opening a six hour music festival.   Our little set went well, including a song written specially for the happy couple.   It was lucky chance that we were asked to sing first so the event opened with 'their song' :-)

The mix of work and social event meant I was back and forth to home to look after Meg's needs but I was able to spend a few hours at the event, held in the station yard.   The Wednesday choir, Singing Stars, sang 'Love Shine a Light' after the cutting of the cake, which was great fun.  Kimberley Rew who wrote this Eurovision winning song was present in the crowd, so Leigh was delighted that we hit the right notes!
