Steve's Celebration of Life
What a busy day. We had a big, peaceful protest and march to Washington Park where Pride Fest was happening. It was a great turnout. Mom and C came in but didn't march. We felt like we were doing our part, as much as we could anyway.
Then I got to the train depot to help set up for the celebration. There must have been at least 100 folks plus a lot of Steve's family from Minnesota who came to the celebration. There were lots of pies (Steve loved to bake a good pie) and other food, good beer and a good band. The service was very emotional but we danced afterwards. Then we cleaned up and I'm ready for bed. My extra is my favorite photo of Steve, although there were many great ones and some very funny ones. He had such a good sense of humor.
Tomorrow my younger brother, Brent arrives for a week. It will be good to see him.
