Joe, Bill and the Kop

I was his age when my Dad took me to my first game here. I can recall the details as easily as if it was yesterday. One of the key milestones in my life. Today I had the pleasure of taking my son to his first game at Anfield, walking up to the ground "I love the smell of Liverpool Dad", singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" together and watching our team win the first game of the season - although I feared the worst when we gave away a penalty with three minutes left.

Long drive home in the rain but nothing could dampen the spirits.

One of the best days.
