Truly Blippin' Marvelous

Old Beaver

At last   . . . I now have a new computer; the old one was becoming unreliable. Slowly getting it set up to how I like it.

And for the first time in quite a while I was up and down to the river walk before sunrise. Six beavers observed including this old dear that I followed upstream and snapped him crossing a dam. He didn't seem a bit bothered by my presence whereas the younger ones had been vigorously slapping their tails as I watched them.

Lots of bird-life and but I forgot my phone so I ddin't have Merlin to help me identify some of the bird chatter. I can recognise the song and calls of redwing blackbirds, meadow larks, mockingbirds (they're not difficult to see either) and spotted towhees.

The past two months have been consumed by Kathy having to undergo various surgeries and her recovery from them ( and evacuating for the Greer wildfire). . . she's still recovering (convalescing?) at home now.
