…and wait for all this to blow over
It rained like mad last night and in my wee hours stupor I think I heard a rumble of thunder. At any rate, my third 6-pint empty ex-milk rainwater carton was full to the brim at breakfast time. A lazy morning was in order, followed by a lovely, lazy video chat with bestie. Eventually we had things to do with the day so I carried on experimenting with the front pannier rack on Mirabel the Green Bike, having stolen it from my blue bike a few weeks ago, to see if I could make it sit more level. I couldn't.
After a late lunch the rain seemed to have stopped at last, so I headed out to the shops having finally remembered what it was I forgot to buy yesterday. I tried Lidl but only managed to buy some cheese. While proceding at a leisurely pace to B&M I passed what looked like a British Heart Foundation shop that I'd somehow never noticed before, so I went in for a look. Lots of furniture but rather overpriced. But they had a good selection of DVDs and I found a copy of The Flying Scotsman – the film about Graeme Obree, which I saw in the cinema at the time – and Shaun of the Dead, which I'd not seen for ages, so the latter was Friday Film Night on Saturday fun. :-)
