One life to live

Saturday

Today was the warmest day this year! Emma left to her guild board's summer cabin weenkend and hubby worked with the boat all day. I had a walk with Peetu in the arboretum and lunch in the Cafe Runo. Then we went to the Finlayson Area to see Finlayson soi folk music festival. There were several different stages at the Finlayson area, but my timing was poor, I saw only one music group performing. Finlayson Art Area event started yeaterday, Peetu and I checked Timo Vuorisalo's and Kimmo Kaivanto's exhibitions. In the photo there is Vuorisalo's work.

At home it was lovely to read a book in the garden and enjoy warm weather. We had a sauna in the evening and after that watched the start of the Jukola night orienteering competition.

The Jukola Relay is an orienteering relay race held annually in Finland since 1949. Jukola is the biggest orienteering relay event in the world. The name Jukola is a family name in the classic Finnish novel, Seven Brothers. The Jukola relay has seven legs with varying distances. The starting time is at 11 pm when the sun sets.

+23,1°C, sunny
