A day in the life

All in a garden green

I had some loose plans for today but nearly all of them dissolved in the wonderful summers day. All that got done really, was to replace the outdoor lamps to new ones because the old ones deteriorated in my hands when I took them down to paint the wall. I was lucky to find new ones, exactly the same model, and putting them up was pretty straight forward. Next on my list was to cut the remaining grass but it's already too hot for that, it can wait till tomorrow. After lunch I did some easy weeding in the shade but for the rest of the afternoon I was leisureing in a chair hanging from a tree in the shade.

Towards the evening I went for a walk in The Forest Garden, some km away. Not much flowers yet but it's all prepared and it will look fantastic in a month. I thought this leaf-picture can represent the day, the sun reflecting through the leaves, creating a fantastic light underneath.

What is it with men and their big egos? It can go totally wrong if they also have a position of power, which has been proven -again. It's easy to start a war to prove your superiority, what takes skill and courage would be to develop a common ground and to cooperate in finding ways to develope both countries.
