Bee on the rattle

The bees enjoy the yellow rattle in the “wild” area at the bottom of our garden.

This morning was our regular monthly community coffee morning.  Despite the heavy rain we had a great turn out and our speaker who gave us a short talk about the DHRC (Down Right Homespun Radio Company) Creative fund did a great job of entertaining us.  At one point during the coffee morning there was such a loud crack that I thought for a moment someone had knocked over a table but it was closely followed by a flash of lightning.
