Afternoon Light

Afternoon light on the Common. Not our local common but Woodberry Common in East Devon. The common is used for training by the Royal Marines, but also provides some nice walks. It is an area known for its exposed pebble beds. It's quite strange at first walking on paths with rounded stones. Despite its elevation above sea level these pebbles were created by water when the area was once a river bed or possibly a beach where they there were washed by the tides. Today the common was a welcome interlude to tolerably, stressful day!
