Fairy Thimbles

Woo hoo - some sunshine after monsoon-like downpours last night. This foxglove in the garden had taken a battering and was horizontal but still rather lovely. 

A great chat with Esme last night who was in fine form. Today she is invited to a party - it's a pyjama party and the theme is Dragons! Joe was looking a bit worried, Esme was very excited and showed us the card she had made for the birthday girl. There was a discussion of birthdays and she wondered what you got when you were 100. She reckoned it might be undies with 100 stitched on them! On further reflection she thought it was probably gold undies with sparkly numbers- that's something to look forward to!

Still working on my talk and tomorrow I'm taking  a gang of American students from Pennsylvania around St Gobnait's site in Ballyvourney-nice and relaxed as this is the 5th year I've done this and it's always good to meet up with Prof Eric, their tutor. We shall have a lot to talk about!
