The nearby former hospital area had an open day. A summer café opened in the building in the top left photo (not a farm shop as I expected), people had a chance to take a look at the former church (originally granary) and in the manor house there was a lecture about the history of the place by a retired teacher of the school that was there earlier. All very interesting, and quite a lot of people there. In the meanwhile, the cows were enjoying the evening in the park.

There will be services for the elderly in the manor house, but the future of the actual hospital buildings is still open. Anyway, everybody is happy that there's life in the area again. Hmm, not sure everybody... I wonder what the vandals who left their mark on the empty buildings in the previous nine years think.
