Table flowers

My knee wakes me a lot in the night - I just can’t find any way to lie that’s at all comfortable. However we were up by 7 and having breakfast with the Guardian by 8. We subscribe on-line but get the actual paper on Saturdays. Not that it’s a treat reading about Israel attacking Iran, not forgetting all they are doing in Gaza, Ukraine’s struggles, the horrendous air crash in India - And we are supposed to watch the royals watching pomp from a balcony.

I did motivate myself to start my Algeria book. I seem to have run out of ideas though of how to display the photos effectively so that it’s not just a photo album. Maybe I should look at my older books where less was more for inspiration.

Lynne loved the wallpaper for the bathroom but pointed out last night that maybe it would be too complicated and we should get in a profession so I’ve enquired locally. The chap recommended hasn’t got back to me yet.

James phoned me today wanting something for Fortnite but was quite happy when I said I’d have to discuss it with his parents. He told me he’s in lots of races at school sports day. I said his great-grandad, my father, had been a good athlete and won money on the professional games circuit. He said he’d probably inherited his talent. I agreed and said my dad would have loved to have known his greatgrandsons as he only had one daughter and 3 granddaughters. Poor man sighed James.
