Poppies at da Haa

A lovely warm and sunny day, with mist hanging over the hills.  That gale has been blowing all day, easing off tonight.

I've been working with Lindsay again today.  Another start on the north beat cleaning, then back to weed spraying the rest of the day.  Walkies with Sammy after work.  I had plans to head out on a hill hike this evening, but a lazy sofa and movie night won.

This summer gales have been battering our poor summer blooms, the flowers and leaves.  Some of the trees almost look autumnal, turning brown in the wind and lack of rain.  It's not all doom and gloom, the flowers in the lea are thriving, like this delicate poppies.  Just hope it passes soon, and the plants can recover.  Taken at the Auld Haa, New Road, Scalloway.
