This is the one

The best shot of the day. I have been taking lots of grandma and grandpa pics as the kids don't get to see them very often and are relishing the time spent.

Today we went to the Idaho Historical Museum. I have lived in Idaho for most of my life and I've never been there before but now that I'm a tourist I guess it's a must. It was interesting with a few things for the children to do. I think Chickpea's favourite was making a capital building out of blocks and possibly this lovely outdoor bit with a pond and a trail, animal tracks and animals to find. She would have liked it even better if it wasn't quite so hot. She hasn't been taking to the heat very well coming from a land with about 5 hot days a year. Monkey liked the two headed cow and somehow slipped past the barrier to go and give it a hug. Ooops.

In the evening we went to Alive After Five and saw The Clumsy Lovers. They are a folksy band I used to see a lot when I lived in Idaho Falls so I was really excited that they just happened to be in Boise at the same time as me and it was FREE and at Alive After Five which I love to go to! I wasn't disappointed and I think the kids had a great time, too! They played a lot in the fountains and Monkey danced with me and we had a great silly old time!
