We've got the power

Or not, as it turned out when we woke up this morning. We had a powercut but all of our neighbours were unaffected. We quickly established that there was no power at all coming into the house, and the first engineer arrived at 8.30am, followed by up to four other vans during the morning. There was much head-scratching at times, and a large hole dug outside, but by 3.30pm it was fixed. I enjoyed a morning working at home (thanks to a cable from our kind neighbours) and must give credit to SSE for a prompt and friendly service. Normal service has now been restored. (Let's hope the hole-filing-in service is as good!)

Reminds me a bit of this time!
