Ramblings and Mutterings

Mud

One-to-one day with the team. We're a diverse team and they're a good bunch and it was good to catch up with them all.

CEO 121 was once again late. They arrived 2 minutes before the end of the meeting, so I said you have 2 minutes because I've got other calls. If you can't respect my time, don't expect me to give you any time extra. He eventually caught up with me towards the end of the day and was focused on cost. But I eventually got it out of him that he wants me to look at my structure and lose people. But as before I bounced that back and said you tell me what the business is going look like and I can devise a structure that best supports you. I'm still none the wiser, it's as clear as mud what they talk about and I find our conversations bizarre. If they actually knew the industry it would help, but as they don't and clearly don't know what they are talking about, I have zero respect for them.

My ex-boss told me to ring up the company with a future vacancy and get out. Lol!

Weather has been a bit mixed, as I write this now it is raining.

Looking forward to a quiet weekend. I hope.

Today I am thankful for:

1.   Good conversations with my team
