So. Here We Are

Fly-by

So. I woke up at 5.20 this morning to the feeling of a tick crawling up my arm. I grabbed it between my first finger and thumb, catching part of my shirt in the process. Unable to separate tick from shirt I wriggled out of the whole lot and threw tick and shirt to the ground.

Of course, I couldn't sleep after that, so I went out for a walk to the lake, catching this lovely Great Blue Heron on a fly-by. Is that the rising sun catching the edges of the heron's wings? I like to think so. Especially as there is no more sun in the weather forecast until next Thursday. That's a whole week.

Was there a tick? I can't be sure. Did I enjoy the early morning? You bet.
