Cuts

The lawn and I both got a haircut today! I can't speak for the lawn, but I am delighted with mine.

The flower is Bell's Honeysuckle, or at least I think it is, but on checking I find that Bell's is easily confused with Morrow's and Tartarian Honeysuckle - not surprising as it's a hybrid of these two. Either way, there's a lot of it around and it's flowering profusely right now. It's non-native and considered a noxious weed. It will soon produce bright red or orange berries, which the birds love, and wihich explains why there is so much of it.

Unexpected rain this afternoon, nothing to write home about but a tree must have come down somewhere because we lost power for about an hour - another kind of cut.
