Deja Vue

Okay, the year is 1957. I'm driving my newly purchased red and white 1955 Chevy Bel Air convertible (purchase price $1,500, with a $3oo down payment loaned by my mother and $50/month payments) It's a Friday night and my three girlfriends and I are "crusin" Bob's Big Boy Drive In in Toluca Lake, California, pooling our money to get burgers and milkshakes. Sadly, we were nerds so we didn't attract attention from anyone on the football team, or anyone else for that matter. The car got more notice than we did.

This setup at the car show I went to today was just a perfect reminder of what it was like, and of course it was on a beautifully restored 1955 Chevy Bel Air, one of the greatest cars ever made in my opinion, right up there with the Mustang.
