Catching the early morning sunshine. 7:10a.m.

I had cut these roses, and the peony, earlier yesterday and brought them into the house, as we were forecast heavy rain and thunder in the afternoon.
I wandered into the garden at 7:00am and decided to stand the vase with the roses on the glass topped small patio table outside. It was sunny at that point.
Clouded over a bit since then, but still warm outdoors.
I put some more washing in the machine before making a mug of tea.
A week today we go to the Lizard in Cornwall, can’t wait!
And so the weekend has arrived, with just a week and day to go to the Summer Solstice on the 21st.
(I won’t write much about the news, as we are all aware of everything which is going on, which none of us can really fix, all the horrors and sadnesses, each and every day.)
