Hornet Mimic Hoverfly?

Another quick visit to the BH this morning to pin up some new pupae and then some time in the garden. We didn’t get the promised thunderstorms - just a few spots of rain mid afternoon. 

This insect I think, is some sort of mimic hoverfly according to Google.
