A community nurse came this morning to assess which mattress will be best for the adjustable bed for Richard. Just as well I’d got back from the gym. We weren’t expecting a visit. But well done to the team as the bed arrives tomorrow. That will reduce the risk of a fall on the stairs. Fortunately we have a separate dining room which can become a bedroom.
Richard decided on a trip to Dalby. He is struggling to walk far as he can’t support his head. So we are looking for a wheelchair with a good back support. Then we can enjoy a walk together. He can’t use a mobility scooter as he can’t lift his arms and has limited hand movement. Hopefully the neurology OT can help at the end of June. The problem is predicting how quickly the disease will progress.
